Dual studies at ILFA – cooperation with Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts

Published by f.schwarz on

We have long supported internships and final theses and offer various positions for starting a career after graduation. Of course, this also includes the classic apprenticeship in commercial or craft professions. From now on, however, we are also a partner company of the Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts, thus creating the opportunity for dual studies with a high degree of practical relevance. The dual study programme at the Faculty I of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts, together with the partner company ILFA, offers high-quality training in which both a fully-fledged vocational training and a Bachelor of Engineering degree are obtained. The advantages of this are clear: training and studies combined can be completed in a shorter total time than would be possible individually. In addition, the training-integrated degree programme is attractive to a large number of potential employers.

The total duration of studies and training is 4.5 to 5 years and combines practical phases, vocational school, classroom studies and examinations or theses. As a pleasant side effect, students receive a training allowance during their studies and enjoy numerous other company benefits. The possibility of direct entry after graduation also makes the dual study concept attractive.

At ILFA, candidates receive training as an electronics technician for industrial engineering (IHK) and deal with the topics of drive technology, automation technology, electronics, communication technology, measurement technology, control technology and sensor technology during their studies. Extensive basics of production technology, electronic manufacturing processes and their control are taught or very practical tasks are set, such as the installation and commissioning of electrical systems. The topic of the final thesis can be defined together, so that the individual strengths of the students are promoted in the best possible way. Of course, permanent contact persons provide support for all matters during the training phase. It’s hard to imagine a better start to your professional life, isn’t it?
