Own DHL packing station at ILFA: private sending and receiving independent of working hours

Not least due to the Corona pandemic, online purchasing has grown rapidly in recent years. Clothing, electronic goods and telecommunications are at the top of the list of goods purchased on the internet and shipped through online retailers. However, shipping and receiving goods in person can sometimes be challenging if, for example, you work in shifts or your company headquarters are not centrally located. Often the only option is to make a quick trip to a post office before or after work, e.g. to post a shipment or pick up a deposited parcel. We wanted to spare our colleagues this in future and have therefore had our own DHL packing station built on our company premises, which is available around the clock for private shipments.

The latest generation of Packstations is app-controlled and powered by solar modules. There are different sized compartments in sizes S to XL, so that all common DHL dimensions can be sent and received. When a shipment arrives, the recipient receives a notification on their smartphone and can then receive their parcel from the Packstation within 7 days. And that really is much more convenient than waiting in line at a post office.

It took about 6 months for the idea of having our own DHL Packstation to become reality. For us, the wait was definitely worth it and the Packstation is a nice added value that we can offer our colleagues. We have already received some very positive feedback and the “traffic” at our Packstation is slowly but steadily increasing.
