The training lasted two years and there was plenty of content, both in theory and in practice. Now our two apprentices have successfully passed their exams to become machine and plant operators and are ready to enter the profession.
The FED PCB Working Group, an association of industry experts from Germany and Austria, met for its 21st meeting this time at ILFA in Hanover. Exciting topics were on the agenda, such as dealing with UL certifications, annealing recommendations for flex and multi-layer PCBs or the further handling of a joint project on copper layer thicknesses.

The Berlin-based company is one of the world’s leading suppliers of special chemical processes and equipment for the printed circuit board, chip carrier and semiconductor industries and is distinguished by its excellent support and services, among other things.
Leasing a bike is one of our new benefits that ILFA employees can now take advantage of. In order to bring the concept closer and also to be able to present a selection of modern e-bikes, we organised an information day at ILFA at the beginning of June, which was accompanied by our partner BusinessBike and the Hanover-based specialist dealer e-motion.
In the course of its modernisation offensive, the Hanover-based (Germany) PCB manufacturer ILFA relies on the experience of the Schmoll Machine Group. From June 2022, the first 16 LHMT handling devices of the type RobiFlex 2×1 will be delivered and successively integrated into production. This will automate a large number of activities that were previously carried out manually.

The 2022 trade fair season is in full swing. After visiting SMTconnect in Nuremberg in mid-May, ILFA will head to Hamburg at the end of May to exhibit at NORTEC. The four-day trade fair from 31 May to 3 June 2022 will present forward-looking technologies, innovative manufacturing solutions and the top issues in the production industry. ILFA will be located on the joint stand Electronics Manufacturing in Hall A1, Stand 510E.
For almost two years, trade fairs could only be hosted in a very limited way or only digitally. The Corona pandemic had made real meetings in a business context difficult and larger gatherings could not take place. We are now all the more looking forward to the upcoming industry trade fairs where we can present our product and service portfolio. We will kick off with SMTconnect, the trade fair for European electrical manufacturing in Nuremberg.
