Getting a taste of different professions – ILFA takes part in “Internship Week”

5 days, 5 professions, 5 companies – this is the motto of the “Internship Week”, which is offered at the beginning of the summer holidays in about 100 regions in Germany. Pupils can register free of charge, select their desired occupational fields and are then suggested companies from their region that offer corresponding internships. We also took part as the organising company and were able to offer 3 young people an insight into the typical fields of activity at ILFA.

ILFA takes part in the B2Run company run 2023

Last year we had already decided to take part in the B2Run company run in Hanover. The fun was simply too great for us to miss out on the event. With around 11,500 runners from numerous companies and businesses in the Hanover area, the number of participants was even greater than last year. So it was back to the north shore of the Maschsee for us, where the 6.5 km run began for our ILFA runners.

Final exams passed: ILFA trainees convince with super performances

In mid-June, the time had come: After two years of training and having already passed the written exams, our two apprentices in the training occupation “machine and plant operator with focus on metal and plastics technology” also passed their final oral exams: Both with the grade A! Of course, we are justifiably proud of both of them and congratulate them on their successful entry into professional life.

ILFA relies on inductively heated laminating press InduBond X-Press 360

At first there was only a large heavy-duty crane on our premises, then the truck arrived. And it was a big one: it brought our new InduBond X-Press 360 laminating press directly from Barcelona, Spain. With a weight of around 14 tonnes, a special team was needed to support us with the logistics: the company Schwarze Spezialtransporte has already supported us several times and once again did an excellent job with millimetre precision.

Future day for girls and boys at ILFA

We welcomed a total of twelve young people on Girls’ and Boys’ Day, the day of the future. They were able to prove themselves in practice, solve a rally with various tasks together and thus also take an intensive look behind the scenes at ILFA. It was an entertaining day for all participants, boredom was guaranteed! The day started with a round of introductions and a safety briefing so that the girls and boys could move around safely in our production.

ILFA presents apprenticeships at the Peter Ustinov School

The Peter-Ustinov-Schule is a secondary school with around 250 pupils in Hannover-Ricklingen. In grades 9-10, it offers a practical vocational focus with measures for career orientation and vocational training and prepares young people either for vocational training or for secondary school. We took the opportunity to present ourselves as a company with our apprenticeship occupations to two graduating classes.

30 years with ILFA: Annett Linz-Buchholz

The year 1993: in the charts right now were Culture Beat with Mr. Vain, Haddaway with What is Love and Meat Love with I’d do anything for Love. In addition, Annett joined ILFA in that year in the PCB production and has stayed until today. Of course, this gave us a good reason to celebrate this anniversary in a fitting manner: with colleagues, a small snack, flowers and many shared memories from the past years.
